We are looking for a Forms & applications frontend engineer to join our team!

At Better we are building software solutions that help medical teams improve patient care. Our advanced open-data medical platform and healthcare applications already support over 30 million patients’ electronic health records worldwide, making data quality our number one priority.

This is where you come in as our Forms and Applications frontend engineer. Working within our Global Delivery team, you’ll help shape the future of digital health by building intuitive, reusable interface components using Better Studio. You’ll collaborate with analysts and solution architects to transform requirements into dynamic forms, dashboards, and widgets that meet clinical safety and accessibility standards. Skills and expertise you need to excel in this position:

• 3-5 years of experience of frontend development using JavaScript, with experience building forms or interfaces in enterprise or low-code environments.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and a solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, with the ability to translate requirements into user-friendly, accessible components.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency, reusability, and accessibility standards.
• Effective communicator and collaborator, experienced in working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams across Delivery, Development, Services, and Operations.
• Comfortable working independently in agile delivery environments, while maintaining alignment with broader project goals.
• Familiarity with digital health platforms or healthcare IT environments is a plus.

How will you show up and shape success, one day at a time?

• Design and develop dynamic forms, dashboards, and UI widgets in Better Studio, translating specifications and user requirements into modular, maintainable components.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and solution architects during workshops and design reviews to ensure solutions align with usability, branding, and clinical requirements.
• Ensure consistency in styling and interaction patterns across all frontend artifacts and contribute to testing efforts with a focus on UI functionality and user experience.
• Document implemented components with clear configuration guidance and user instructions, while helping improve and maintain our shared UI libraries and form design standards.
• Provide technical input during solution scoping, including feasibility assessments and effort estimates for frontend work.
• Support QA and training efforts by validating form usability, contributing to reusable style guides and training materials, and assisting with customer onboarding.
• Offer peer review and mentorship to junior team members, while expanding your knowledge of digital health standards like OpenEHR and FHIR through ongoing internal training.
