Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Coordinator to support one of the largest and most ambitious Cloud and Data Centre migration initiatives in Belgium.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure transformation programme, playing a central role in the migration of critical applications and systems to the cloud within a complex enterprise environment.

Logistics:

• Position: Freelance IT Project Coordinator (Cloud & Data Centre Migration)
• Duration: 12-month rolling contract (extensions highly likely)
• Location: Brussels (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week)
• Day Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)
• Languages: English plus French or Dutch
• Interview Process: 2 stages with prompt feedback

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate key phases of a large-scale application and data centre migration programme
• Monitor progress across cloud infrastructure deployments and legacy-to-cloud transitions
• Define and manage project timelines, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned and tracked
• Serve as a liaison between infrastructure teams, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders
• Ensure accurate project tracking (scope, budget, risk) and communicate updates to relevant parties
• Support delivery teams with documentation, task follow-up, and milestone tracking
• Proactively identify risks and blockers, offering solutions to maintain delivery momentum

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience coordinating cloud infrastructure and data centre migration projects
• Comfortable operating in large, complex environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities
• Familiar with project planning tools, documentation standards, and reporting requirements
• Experience in Agile, hybrid, or enterprise-scale delivery settings

Desirable:

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud migration projects
• Experience with enterprise application migrations or legacy infrastructure decommissioning
• Knowledge of ITIL, PRINCE2, or service management frameworks
• Background in regulated sectors such as insurance, financial services, or government
