Network Engineer

Network Security Engineer | Zscaler, Cisco, Azure, NSX-T, Fortinet, Checkpoint | Poland

Network Security Engineer required to join a dynamic IT Team in Cracow/Krakow. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting the operational network security environment, ensuring the resilience, availability, and security of the global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support operational network security systems including firewalls, proxies, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and DDoS defenses.
• Deploy and enforce global network security design standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal audits, IT risk and security policies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Design and implement secure network environments and tools.
• Provide technical resolution for project-related incidents and track system availability.
• Adapt to shifting workloads and priorities driven by organizational transformation.
• Translate network traffic patterns into enforceable security policies.
• Implement policies across a variety of platforms including Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet, and others.

Skills & Experience Required

• 3–5 years of experience in a network security engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with multiple firewall and proxy technologies (Zscaler, Cisco, Azure, NSX-T, Fortinet, Checkpoint).
• Deep understanding of network security technologies: FW, IDS/IPS, DLP, WAF, SASE/SSE.
• Strong grasp of ITIL, ITSM, and industry best practices.
• Ability to rapidly comprehend complex technical concepts and assess their business relevance.
• Familiarity with cloud providers and their security service offerings.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
