Software Engineer (Go Developer)

Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Go/Golang Developer) to join their dynamic team and help evolve platform architecture. This role focuses on back-end development and requires expertise in Go, data integration, and AWS cloud-based environments.

**This role is remote with a preference for candidates in the CST or EST time zone**

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with other developers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Go.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following best practices for software development.
• Utilize AWS cloud services to scale ETL workflows and handle large data volumes.
• Continuously improve the ETL pipelines for performance optimization and resource efficiency.
• Work with SQL databases, optimizing query performance and ensuring data consistency.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow, backend performance, and system integration.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on backend development, Go (Golang), and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Proven expertise with SQL, including experience in designing, querying, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based environments with experience in AWS services.
• Skilled in designing, implementing, and integrating robust APIs.
• Experience with ETL workflows and data migrations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote team.
