🫵 About you

They’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the technical foundation of a modern total rewards platform. Join a small, collaborative team where you’ll own backend systems, lead cloud infrastructure efforts, and shape core architectural decisions.

This role prioritizes deep backend and AWS infrastructure experience. Frontend experience isn’t required—just a willingness to pitch in across the stack when needed.

🛠️ What You’ll Do

• Own and evolve backend services (NestJS, Express) and cloud infrastructure (AWS with Terragrunt).
• Build scalable, secure systems powering real-time dashboards, personalization, and enterprise features.
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities where they add real value to the HR and employee experience.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ship high-quality features fast.
• Drive code reviews, design discussions, and improve engineering practices.
• Occasionally pitch in on the frontend (Next.js)—with support as you ramp up.

✅ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with a strong backend focus and a track record of building well-architected systems.
• Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like NestJS or Express.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, using Terraform or Terragrunt.
• Solid grasp of scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure design.
• Clear communicator with a collaborative, product-driven mindset.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup—ownership, autonomy, and ambiguity don’t scare you.
