Job Description

We are part of one of the biggest Rockwell Automation development centers in the world with 500+ software engineers working locally in Katowice Campus, as a part of one global team. We are responsible for architecture and development of flag-ship products including Logix controllers and communication devices used in Allen-Bradley industrial automation solutions such as PLC controllers, ethernet bridges, adapters or functionality of the communication layer.
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will join a self-organized and cross-functional team of engineers.
You will report to the Team Leader, Embedded Software and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will join a self-organized and cross-functional team of engineers.
You will report to the Team Leader, Embedded Software and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities
- You will develop firmware for multiple Rockwell Automation products.
- Your responsibilities will include reviewing requirements, preparing and reviewing design documents, programming in C++, and analyzing and fixing bugs and issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT degree.
- Practical software development experience in C++, using software lifecycle development methodologies (software requirements analysis, software design, software testing).
- Basic networking knowledge and experience.
- 5+ years of practical experience with C/C++ and embedded software development.
- Fluent in English.
- "Can do" and "I'll find out" attitude.
- Team player.
- Practical programming experience in Python or similar languages would be nice.
- Practical knowledge of embedded security concepts and principles.
- Experience in programming with use of RTOS.
- Practical experience in firmware debugging.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and network device configuration.
- Experience in Agile software / SAFE development.
