Data Analyst

JOB TITLE: Data Analyst 

DEPARTMENT: Administration  

REPORTS TO:  Head of Business  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, maintain, and optimise complex Excel-based data models, dashboards, and reports using advanced formulas, Power Query, and Power Pivot. 
• Automate data processes using VBA macros to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. 
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis using pivot tables, advanced lookup functions (XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH), and dynamic arrays. 
• Create interactive dashboards with slicers, conditional formatting, and data visualisation tools for business insights. 
• Integrate Excel with other data sources (SQL, Power BI, APIs) to streamline reporting workflows. 
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through error-checking and validation techniques. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Excel solutions. 
• Train team members on advanced Excel functionalities and best practices. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA, advanced formulae). 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets. 
• Knowledge of data modelling, automation, and dashboard creation. 
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Python (preferred but not mandatory). 
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field. 

Preferred Experience: 

• 3+ years in data analysis, financial modelling, or business intelligence. 
• Proven track record of solving complex business problems using Excel. 
• Certification in Microsoft Excel (Advanced/Expert) is a plus.
