About this job:

As Senior Data Platform Analyst, you will report to the Head of Data Platform Delivery and will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, focusing on the delivery of innovative, data-driven solutions within the reinsurance domain. Leveraging your expertise in business analysis, reinsurance and actuarial knowledge, and modern data platforms like Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Requirements: Gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements, translating them into clear and concise technical specifications.
• Data Modeling and Design: Collaborate with data engineers to design efficient data models and data flows, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Solution Delivery: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of data-driven solutions, including data pipelines, data marts, and data visualizations.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their needs and communicating technical concepts effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve data-related issues, leveraging your strong SQL skills and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

About you:

• Degree or equivalent in IT related subject
• Strong understanding of reinsurance business processes and data domains
• Actuarial knowledge within the reinsurance industry in a previous role.
• Proven experience in data analysis and data modeling
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Business Objects)
• Experience with data warehousing and data lake concepts
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes
• Familiarity with Snowflake and Data Virtuality is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
