Engineering Lead (Rust/Stellar/Solidity)

BlockDelta is currently collaborating with a leading lending platform in the EVM ecosystem. Currently in the process of expanding their dynamic team and is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Software Engineer.

Ideal Candidate-

Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of their EVM-based lending platform, with a strong emphasis on Rust for Stellar Soroban. The role also requires deep expertise in Solidity, as you will be responsible for writing production-grade EVM smart contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Build and launch robust smart contracts in Rust tailored for the Stellar Soroban platform.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Rust developers.
• Review and convert existing Solidity contracts into Rust, ensuring compatibility and performance within the Soroban environment.
• Design cross-chain solutions that interact seamlessly with EVM-compatible protocols.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product leads, and ecosystem contributors to deliver dependable DeFi applications.
• Champion robust smart contract development by emphasizing security, thorough testing, and audit readiness.
• Develop high-quality, efficient, and well-structured code with clear documentation.
• Collaborate on code reviews, participate in technical dialogues, and contribute to the architecture of core protocol components.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years working professionally with Rust, ideally focused on building smart contracts.
• At least 1 year of active Solidity development; candidates who started in Solidity and later specialized in Rust are strongly favored.
• Strong grasp of decentralized finance concepts, particularly in areas like lending systems and collateral strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Stellar Soroban smart contract platform.
• Skilled in EVM-compatible tools such as Hardhat and Foundry, with a solid understanding of Web3 development pipelines.
• Committed to writing secure, maintainable code backed by comprehensive testing practices.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, asynchronous team spread across multiple time zones.

Advantageous:

• Proven track record developing or supporting live DeFi applications in production environments.
• Hands-on involvement with Stellar Soroban ecosystems or development of supporting infrastructure/tools.
• Strong background in smart contract safety, including formal methods, static code checks, or audit processes.
• Understanding of blockchain interoperability, including cross-chain bridging and common token protocols like ERC-20 and SEP-20.
