AP Accountant | Junior - Mid

The Finance team at Nord Security consists of ambitious professionals working towards creating a world-class Finance organisation. We’re keen on converting financial data into meaningful information and insights, which we do by automating workflows and analyzing data. The Finance team supports business stakeholders in making decisions, driving strategy, and achieving the lofty goals of an ever-growing unicorn with confidence. Our team owns and executes accounting, controlling, finance systems, data and financial analysis, treasury and procurement functions.

Main Responsibilities

• Process and review purchase invoices and employee expenses in Payhawk
• Match payments accurately to vendors and ensure correct postings (debits/credits)
• Prepare and post accruals for unreceived invoices or expenses
• Reconcile payables, analyze aging reports, and resolve variances
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reports
• Respond to audit requests promptly and assist with VAT returns and tax declarations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (auditors, service providers)
• Prioritize tasks independently, ensuring high-impact tasks are addressed first
• Identify and resolve accounting process issues, contributing to improvements
  
  
  
  
  

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of knowledge and experience in accounting or finance fields.
• Overall solid accounting knowledge in Chart of Accounts, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, accruals, proper (re)classification and code of expenses for accurate financial reporting; good understanding of tax regulations with ability to prepare tax declarations.
• Experience working with Business Central (former Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel: proficiency in SUMIF, VLOOKUP, IF functions, PIVOT tables, data validation and conditional formatting, data entry and formatting, including Google Sheets.
• Attention to details.
• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-driven, initiative, problem-solving oriented person.
