Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for an Embedded Firmware Engineer. The role is permanent position based in Zürich Canton & comes with some office flexibility.

Your role:

• Analyse customer needs & develop hardware-related software as well as concepts, architectures, design & specifications for embedded systems.
• Develop firmware for microcontrollers
• Measure low power currents & commission & test designs from prototype phase to release.
• Support approval processes through special routines in the firmware.
• Optimize internal processes, especially in the firmware area.
• Develop & maintain products & support customers.
• Working according to a QM system.

Your Skills & Experience:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Firmware Development.
• Skilled in developing low-level firmware in C/C++.
• A strong knowledge of the methodology for firmware creation.
• A good understanding of current standards, technologies & cyber security
• Ideally experienced in the area of IoT.

Your Profile:

• Completed University Degree in the area Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar.
• Dynamic, creative & innovative.
• Open, collaborative, upbeat & both customer & team-oriented.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written) & a good command of German (to at least B2 level).
