Job Title: SharePoint UX/UI Designer & Administrator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint UX/UI Designer & Administrator to support the modernization of internal intranet pages using SharePoint Online. This role demands a strong blend of technical SharePoint expertise, front-end development skills, and a user-centric design mindset. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including GoA stakeholders, to deliver intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Design and develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly SharePoint Online intranet pages.
- Customize SharePoint components, including web parts, lists, libraries, workflows, themes, and templates.
- Migrate and validate content from existing intranet platforms to new modernized SharePoint environments.
- Optimize site structure, navigation, and overall user experience in alignment with GoA branding and usability standards.
- Implement content management best practices to ensure consistency, engagement, and efficiency.
- Develop and document workflows and automation processes to support content publishing.
- Troubleshoot SharePoint-related issues, including user inquiries and system performance problems.
- Provide first and second-level technical support.
- Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Participate in quality assurance, testing, and performance validation activities.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design solutions using out-of-the-box and customized SharePoint components.
- Deliver routine operational reports and contribute to SharePoint support process improvements.
- Work directly with GoA technical staff and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- Site Collection Administration
- Troubleshooting forms and workflows
- Using and supporting ShareGate
- Microsoft SharePoint development, integration, and support
- Experience with:
- UX/UI design principles, wireframing, and prototyping tools
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks
- SharePoint Online and CMS best practices
- Content migration and validation
- Adobe Creative Suite (asset)
- Designing and implementing custom web parts, themes, and workflows (asset)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience in developing integrated system and technical design specifications.
- Experience using PowerShell for SharePoint administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online admin portal and related reporting/config tools.
- Experience with IT/IM standards and practices.
- Experience using Central Administration in SharePoint environments.
