The HR Specialist is the linking pin between the managers and employees and the HR processes and HR admin of Companial. In this role you oversee and manage an employee base that is based all over Europe. The HR specialist works closely together with peer HR Specialists for two other entities, and you will be part of an HR team of ten people.

The HR specialist is the go-to person for all operational HR-matters, both for managers and employees. Being a true HR generalist, you have solid knowledge of the employment conditions, (dutch) labour law, the processes and HR policy behind these conditions. You work in close cooperation with the HR Manager for Companial and can rely on each other. You are based in the Netherlands (Leusden) but your contacts are scattered over Europe. They also have a big hub in Lithuania (they have their own local HR team) with whom you also have frequent contact to make sure HR is aligned and in close synergy with each other.

The team structure is new as well and the team has grown from five to ten people. In a more mature, logic and set-for growth team, you play an essential part of providing the managers and employees with an exquisite HR experience.

You will be part of a motivated and fun HR team, have a lot of autonomy and there is plenty of room for your own input, initiative, creativity and personal development.

Main tasks:

  • You will work closely with the HR Manager to implement the annual HR plan for the entity.
  • You advise managers regarding HR policy and processes and provide support in individual employee cases, for which you also maintain contact with the employment law lawyer.
  • You ensure the correct administrative processing of changes in these processes in Personio
  • You ensure correct administration (absence portal) and support to managers in case of absence
  • You support managers in recruiting new employees in collaboration with the recruiter
  • You are responsible for the contracts of new employees and onboarding them into the systems, working closely with IT.
  • You are the point of contact and information for managers and employees for questions about their employment conditions and policy (including HRM@companial)
  • You participate in projects for the development of HR policy, processes, and products. In addition, you have your own area of knowledge for which you are a subject matter expert; This means that you are the substantive expert on that subject, maintain the processes and can advise your colleagues

Skills and experience:

  • You bring a lot of enthusiasm and energy to the table
  • You have at least 1 year experience as an experienced HR Officer, HR Generalist, HR Admin and have gained this experience in preferably an international setting (your English skills are well developed)
  • You are easy to work with, manage expectations well and have clear communication skills
  • You are sharp on details, critical, work fast and accurate

  • Strong consulting skills
  • Knowledge of absenteeism rules and processes
  • Basic knowledge of employment law
