We are looking for great leaders to join the team responsible for the flagship Exclaimer Cloud SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, utilising the latest technologies in our push to expand the product's functionality and evolve the technical platform.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Design with a strong emphasis on leading people, creative direction, UX design, UI design, and design system management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of user-centred design principles and the ability to translate brand identity into compelling user experiences across various digital platforms. Experience in leading a small design team and jointly delivering key design projects is essential.

Working with other key leaders across the wider Technology and Product team to ensure are, serving the needs of both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the design team as part of the wider product team. Collaborating with development team leads, delivery and product managers to develop our product to meet our client's future needs.
• Being hands on with the technology and helping to drive the technical direction of the platform through creation of exemplars and definition of internal best practices.
• Define the design strategy and work with the design team and wider product and technology teams to make this strategy a reality and ensure design direction is considered with all work streams.
• Ensure industry best practices are followed, current trends and enhancements are brought into scope.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to the design team to ensure knowledge and skills support the design evolution.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
• Work closely with front-end developers to implement designs that are both visually appealing and functional.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote adoption and adherence to the design system.
  
  

Skills Knowledge And Expertise

• Be an experienced design team leader, with the ability to guide, facilitate and develop the design team.
• Be passionate about SaaS Product Design, with a strong knowledge of development and technical principles, methodologies, and values.
• Strong understanding of mobile UX patterns and best practices.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user experience, UI design, and information architecture.
• Be a hands-on Designer with the ability to guide, unblocking the design team and fulfil a hands-on role for key projects.
• Ability to manage expectations and work with members of the Product, Technology and Commercial teams to understand priorities and ensure alignment that what can be achieved with-in given timetable.
• Excellent ability to establish trust and build relationships with engineers, peers, and stakeholders across the business; you will be able to communicate clearly and succinctly, and without ambiguity.
• History of working in fast-paced SaaS business delivering high frequency incremental delivery of customer facing functionality.
