Are you passionate about enhancing healthcare with the power of design? Are you eager to help prescribers provide better care by freeing up their time to focus on patients? Do you want to understand how patient experiences are impacted through healthcare professionals’ and patient portals?

At Mediq, we’re on the lookout for a dynamic and communicative Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in an Agile Scrum team, focused on continuously improving the experiences of both patients and healthcare professionals. You will collaborate closely with our Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to champion user-centered design, acting as a key link between prescribers, patients, and our team.

As a Product Designer, you’ll also be part of our UX Community of Practice, where we focus on professional development and aligning the user experience across Mediq at a European level.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our Scrum team, you will drive the design of valuable solutions for our prescriber and patient portals. You’ll focus on creating user-centered designs that meet the unique needs of our customers. Your strong communication skills will allow you to engage various stakeholders with diverse goals and requirements.

In Short, You Will

• Maintain and grow a user-centered and Lean design approach within your team.
• Understand the difference between output and outcome.
• Be involved in user research activities, learning more about the problem at hand and crafting beautiful, inclusive, and user-friendly UI designs.
• Prepare and conduct scalable user research with actual healthcare professionals and patients.
• Be an expert at identifying the core of a problem, ensuring that your solutions provide value for a wide group of people.
• Refine your work continuously, justifying the value of investing in iterative design based on behavioral data.
• Follow design guidelines to ensure your designs align with our brand and principles.
• Explain your designs with a practical yet complete design rationale.
• Build upon insights gained from alignment maps like Personas, Customer Journeys, and Service Blueprints.
• Contribute to our Design System, sharing learnings and insights with your design colleagues regarding components, patterns, and guidelines.

Your Background

We’re looking for a Product Designer who is passionate about design and has an eye for detail. Here’s what we ask you to bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Communication & Multimedia Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• A strong understanding of user-centered design processes, UX/UI trends, and best practices in e-commerce.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience as a Product Designer, preferably with some experience in the healthcare sector.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Proficiency with tools like Figma, Hotjar, Google Analytics, and more.
• Familiarity with design systems is a plus.
