IT Project Manager

Role:

Full ownership of the delivery from project initiation through handover to operations.

Lead the automation of the firewall request process across all involved domains.

Coordinate dependencies between request handling, configuration management, and firewall rule lifecycle governance.

Drive the development and implementation of a RASCI model across architecture, operations, and IT security.

Ensure the project aligns with our IT process framework, architecture principles, and security policies.

Identify and manage risks, scope boundaries, and critical path timelines.

Actively engage in and prepare decision material for steering committee meetings, including tool evaluations (internal vs. third-party).

Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation to support audit requirements and long-term rule ownership.

Lead integration planning with Helix NG SP by identifying data sources and operational requirements.

Track milestones, resource allocation, dependencies, and stakeholder commitments.

Ensure operational readiness for handover, including a completed knowledge transfer plan.

Essential requirements:

• 8+ years of experience managing complex IT infrastructure or network security projects.
• Proven track record of delivering automation initiatives or LEAN process redesign.
• Experience working with multi-domain firewall environments (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).
• Skilled in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders in matrix organizations.
• Background in network access control, security policy governance, and ITIL-aligned process development.
• Strong grasp of modern network architecture, segmentation, and firewall policy frameworks.
• Familiarity with software-defined networking, identity-based access, and rule lifecycle management.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into operational workflows and stakeholder-aligned solutions.
• Fluent in Swedish and English
