Job Description

As a UX/UI Designer at Evergen, you will be joining our growing design team with a primary focus on User Interface design. You’ll work closely with our existing Product Designer to create clean, accessible, and intuitive interfaces that bring clarity to complexity. You'll collaborate across engineering and product teams to craft delightful and functional user experiences that support our energy optimisation goals.

  • Turn user and product requirements into clear wireframes and refined, high-fidelity UI designs
  • Support the end-to-end design process from early concepts to implementation-ready designs
  • Contribute to our design system by creating reusable components and patterns
  • Work closely with our existing Product Designer to align on UX direction and interface details
  • Provide clear specifications and assets for developers
  • Assist with design QA and testing to ensure design quality and consistency
  • Help set up and facilitate user testing, gathering valuable feedback to inform design decisions
  • Stay up to date on UX/UI best practices, WCAG accessibility standards, and interaction patterns

Qualifications

You're a creative and detail-oriented designer who cares deeply about visual clarity and user interaction. You enjoy refining designs into polished experiences and are excited by the opportunity to contribute to real products that help accelerate the energy transition. In addition to this, you'll have:

  • 2+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design roles.
  • A strong visual portfolio showcasing interface and interaction design.
  • Proficiency in Figma (bonus: experience building design systems).
  • Familiarity with responsive web and mobile design.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability principles.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with Agile and iterative design processes.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with data-heavy interfaces or dashboards.
  • Interest in or exposure to the energy or sustainability sector.
  • Basic knowledge of front-end implementation to support developer collaboration.
  • Experience in both website and mobile applications.
