UX/UI Designer

As CoinJar's UX/UI Designer, you will research, test, and seek continuous improvement of our cryptocurrency exchange app and web platforms. You will be embedded in the Engineering and Product Team to collaboratively design, iterate, and release new features that our customers will love. Successful applicants will take ownership of design projects throughout the product lifecycle from ideation, prototyping, user testing, to production. You will contribute research and design insights to help the team deliver an ever-improving product.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design end-to-end flows and prototypes
• Produce multiple design concepts, balancing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail and when to make sketches/prototypes
• Define Design success metrics and take charge of achieving them
• Transform customer feedback and data to improve products and features
• Iterate and implement design collaboratively with the Engineering and Product Team
• As a core part of the Frontend team, you'll engage in daily problem-solving and design reviews with our engineers
• In collaboration with the Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to impact the product roadmap

What You Need

• 3+ years of experience in professional Product Design
• A portfolio featuring examples of product design work
• Experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web (or mobile)
• Thinking at a high level about product strategy and clearly articulating design decisions
• Understand technical implications in design decisions
• Fluency in Figma or similar prototyping tools
• Have a collaborative mindset, embracing input with a desire for continuous iteration and improvement

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience or interest in financial products
• Product design experience with mobile apps (with a portfolio to show)
• Interest in trading or crypto apps
