Chief Financial Officer

CAML is in the lookout for a CFO. On behalf of a client who is uniting blockchain technology, digital banking, and telecommunications; and enables next-generation mobile financial services across 20+ countries. With ambitions to expand its European footprint and secure an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, the company is seeking for a CFO to join its leadership team in Lithuania.

As CFO, you will be responsible for all financial operations across the Company’s European business, ensuring robust financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth. You will lead IFRS-compliant financial reporting, oversee treasury and risk management, and play a key role in the company’s journey toward EMI licensing and expansion in the banking and payments sector. Industry coverage: Crypto Exchange, Digital Banking, Payments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance functions: accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Oversee timely and accurate IFRS financial statements and regulatory filings
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures in line with best practices for crypto, payments, and banking sectors
• Manage treasury operations, including crypto and fiat reserves, liquidity, and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with local and EU regulations, including AML/KYC, tax, and EMI requirements
• Support the EMI license application process and ongoing regulatory engagement
• Advise the Country Manager, CEO and Board on financial strategy, capital allocation, and business model optimization
• Oversee audit processes and maintain investor-ready financial transparency
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team in a fast-paced, digital-first environment
• Ensure good banking relationships

Qualifications

• Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in crypto, fintech, banking, or payments industries
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance in the EU
• Experience with EMI or similar regulated financial institution operations is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage treasury, risk, and financial controls in a high-growth, innovative environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English and Lithuanian
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA) are an advantage
