The Role
We’re looking for a passionate Frontend Developer with a strong focus on Angular and experience in building rich and reactive user experiences. Due to the nature of our mission, having an intrinsic interest in personal development is a plus. In this role, you’ll work closely with student users and lecturers to create an impactful experience and gather feedback directly to enhance the product. You will work with a small, experienced and motivated team and help shape product strategy while driving implementation.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and maintain user application structures and ensure a high-quality user experience.
● Collaborate closely with the team to deliver meaningful, impactful outcomes.
● Participate in product strategy discussions and have a direct hand in influencing development.
● Work closely with student users and lecturers to gather feedback and improve the user experience.
Ideal Candidate
● Proficient in Angular with experience in complex application development.
● Strong knowledge of reactive data management with NgRx or equivalent.
● Motivated, responsible, and proactive with a passion for high-quality outcomes.
● Enjoys working collaboratively but thrives on taking ownership.
● Comfortable working in an English-speaking environment (team language). German is a plus but not required.
Team & Culture
● The current team consists of 3 co-founders, and 3 team members, including one back-end developer and one UI/UX designer. You’ll be joining a focused and committed team in an early stage where your contributions will have a substantial impact.
● At Rflect, we are for-purpose, value accountability, practice continuous learning, and care for simple and great user experience.
Engagement: 80%-100% (100% preferred)
Start: As soon as possible
Budget: Yes, we are an early-stage startup so cannot pay corporate salaries. Our cash-out budget for the role is CHF 85,000 - 100,000 at 100% per year (depending on what you need, and your experience). This should increase, and we want someone who is motivated to help us achieve that. We also have an ESOP pool with (hopefully) attractive equity options.
Why Join Us?
● Meaningful Mission: Work on projects that impact students, shape the future of education and tackle the root causes of the sustainability metacrisis.
● Opportunities for growth and learning, work with an experienced, high-quality and fun team and ability to have a deep impact on the product (you are not just a cog in the wheel).
● Flexible Hours & Remote Work: We offer flexible hours and the ability to work remotely within the CET timezone. We also have an office in central Zurich if you prefer a hybrid arrangement (which is what most of us do).
Diversity and Inclusion
At Rflect, we value diversity and inclusivity. We welcome people from all genders and backgrounds to apply for this position. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute.
Application Process
If you’re interested, send us your CV and a motivational email explaining why this role excites you to [email protected]. Please include a reference. We are transparent and encourage applicants to mention if ChatGPT or any AI tools were used in the application. Note: We do not work with agencies, nor candidates who are permanently in time zones more than 2h outside of CET.
Deadline: Applications are open until 31st October 2024, but will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We will invite shortlisted candidates for an interview and a technical competence check.
Apply today to be part of a mission that’s shaping the future of education!
