Cyber Security Specialist

Purpose of the Role: The Cyber Security Specialist will deliver expert support in cyber operations, security solutions engineering, and governance. This position is integral to ensuring Amana Living’s systems remain resilient against current and future cyber threats, while aligning security strategies with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Security Strategies: Develop enterprise-wide security policies and frameworks that reflect business objectives and compliance standards. Establish governance structures, timelines, and budgets to drive initiatives.
• Create Security Roadmaps: Outline strategic milestones for security advancements, tracking performance indicators and progress.
• Integrate Security Solutions: Address security across network, cloud, application, and endpoints while ensuring seamless interoperability with existing systems.
• Conduct Risk Assessments: Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities, rank them by impact and likelihood, and recommend effective security measures through cost-benefit analysis.
• Technical Guidance: Provide expertise on emerging threats and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work alongside IT, Operations, HR, and external partners to embed security practices in workflows and maintain compliance.
• Support Zero Trust Principles: Advocate for continuous authentication and authorization, including micro-segmentation of networks to enhance security.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Relevant Cyber Security certifications or equivalent qualifications.
• A passion for cyber security and delivering service excellence.
• Experience in customer-facing technical or security support roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with investigative capabilities.
• Working knowledge of attack vectors, threat tactics, and techniques used by attackers.
• Familiarity with general information security concepts and practices.
• Proactive attitude towards addressing customer issues and resolving problems.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months).
• Proof of current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations, aligned with Amana Living’s policies.
• Successful Completion of Pre-Employment Health Questionnaire and Reference check
• Working towards or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
