As a Backend Engineer (m/f/d) for our new DataBus project, you will help design and implement a scalable event-driven system that enables seamless integrations across ERP, PIM, CMS, and other commerce platforms.
You will work on the core backend architecture, API design, and data models while also having the opportunity to contribute to frontend development in the future. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about scalable distributed systems, API-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions, with an interest in growing their skill set toward full-stack development.

No matter where you work, you are an integral part of the team. Therefore, we are looking for a Backend Engineer (m/f/d) throughout Europe!
These are your tasks:
- You develop and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Golang.
- You design and optimize API structures (GraphQL, REST) focusing on reliability and performance.
- You work on data modeling, database scaling, and efficient query design.
- You contribute to the event-driven architecture by implementing message-driven workflows using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
- You collaborate on cloud-native deployments, working with DevOps to optimize Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD processes.
- You ensure resilient error handling, failover mechanisms, and data integrity across the system.
- (Optional but beneficial): You have an interest in frontend technologies (React, Vue) to prototype a frontend.
- You have experience in backend development with Golang or a similar language.
- You bring a strong understanding of high availability (HA) principles and fault-tolerant architectures.
- You have knowledge of API design best practices and efficient data handling.
- You have experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
- You are familiar with cloud environments using AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- You possess strong problem-solving skills and thrive in a collaborative environment.
