Mobile Application Developer

SKL Technology are searching for multiple Mobile App Developers to work with our client in Healthcare and Insurance. You will be joining a new department within the organisation, working on a greenfield digital project.

The role requires you to be an Australian citizen.

12 month contract with a 12th month extension (signed off).

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and improve mobile apps, following best practices and guidelines.
• Design and develop software, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Work in an agile team to deliver projects.
• Keep clear records of designs and code.
• Take part in code reviews to maintain high standards.
• Ensure apps meet security and accessibility requirements.
• Work with Business Analysts, Project Leads, and IT teams to solve problems.
• Help test apps early in development to catch issues sooner.
• Make sure solutions are practical, cost-effective, and work as intended.

Essential Skills:

1. Strong experience building and releasing mobile apps for Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C), including React Native.
2. Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines (GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault).
3. Ability to write automated tests and work with QA teams.
4. Experience turning UI designs into mobile app components.
5. Knowledge of integrating with APIs (Firebase, CMS systems, etc.).

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience setting up a new mobile app project, including tools and frameworks.
2. Knowledge of React and TypeScript for accessible web apps.
3. Ability to work across all stages of development (design, coding, reviews, maintenance).
4. Some experience with back-end development (Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes).
