Junior Product Manager

Job Description

The Olympic Channel is looking for a Junior Product Manager to support the team working on the evolution of the official mobile apps of the IOC and Games, offering sports fans unique content from one of the world’s most respected sports brands. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to expand their experience with Digital platforms. It offers a unique chance to interact with numerous stakeholders and work on the entire product cycle firsthand, providing support from the creative stage of new features and product ideations through to delivery. This role reports to a Senior Product Manager within the Product team.

The position title may be adjusted to "Product Manager" for candidates whose experience and qualifications exceed the junior level.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Working closely with Senior Product Manager to develop and maintain the roadmap of the mobile apps.
• Brainstorm, design and validate with stakeholders and designers for new features that would fit in the line of the platform(s) to increase engagement.
• Provide support as required to the Senior Product Manager to complete the functional & business objectives outlined in the master product roadmap for olympics.com.
• Ensure user research, benchmarks, and data are used to help build strong user-centric requirements within the features.
• Provide support in creating QA test plans and assist with UAT to ensure quality.
• Interact and liaise with colleagues in Editorial, Marketing, PR, Legal, Finance, Commercial, Data, Technical Delivery, as well as external partners.
• Lead and operate the AB testing roadmap across the website.
• Work with the project- and development teams to monitor the status of the development and deliverables.
• Discussions with other departments, such as Editorial, Content, etc. to check and validate requirements for the adaptations or adjustments and new features.

Skills, Requirements & Qualifications

• We are open to experiences ranging between 1-4 years in a digital field; with Digital mobile app Product Management experience, advantageous with news or sports background as well as web-based applications experience.
• Suitable / relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, as well as an understanding of Figma. Other related software packages can be considered.
• CMS and AB testing experience is a plus.
• Experience in Digital Product transformation, focusing on a user-centric approach and value generation.
• Conceptual thinking, creativity, analysis, and execution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment with firm deadlines.
• Strong sensibility for user experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the rest of the product team to ensure consistency across other channels.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Workplace & Environment

• Fast paced work environment.
• This is a permanent position based in our offices in Madrid, Spain with 30% remote work allowance.
• Subject to national/international criminal background checks.
• Available to travel occasionally (10%) if required by immediate Supervisor.
