SRE Engineer / Kubernetes Engineer - Leading Software House - Arnhem - Hybrid remote - Permanent role

For a leading software house in Arnhem we're recruiting an Infrastructure / Kubernetes Engineer!

The role sits in a dedicated, multi-national team of 6 engineers.

Key Responsibilities as SRE Engineer / Kubernetes Engineer:

• Optimize customer environments in Kubernetes, ensuring they run smoothly and securely
• Assist in onboarding customers by advising on optimal setups and implementing deployment pipelines, network policies, and backups
• Provide ongoing support, conduct quarterly maintenance, and implement security upgrades

Work Environment:

• Flexible working hours with the option to work both from home and at the office.
• Expected to be present at the office at least three days a week to foster team collaboration.
• Regular opportunities for professional development and training, including Certified Kubernetes Administrator training / Cloud certificates/visiting (inter)national conferences

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• DevOps mindset, always seeking smarter ways to organize environments and automate processes.
• Independent and collaborative, able to create your own work while being open to others' ideas.
• Effective communicator, capable of explaining complex concepts to non-experts and understanding colleagues' and customers' needs

Required Expertise:

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience within an Infrastructure / SRE / Operations environment, of which at least 2 years exposure to Kubernetes environment
• Some exposure to Golang would be amazing, or passion to learn Golang! Go!
• Proficiency with Helm, Flux, or Nginx
• Scripting with e.g. Bash, Shell, Terraform
• Strong knowledge of Linux and infrastructure operations.
• Experience with major cloud providers such as Azure, AWS or GCP
