About the team:

In this role you will be an integral part of Digital Front-end development and support team at ASX. Digital Front-end team is a part of the broader Digital Engineering team. This is an opportunity to be a part of building new design system and component library for ASX, using which new digital applications are to be built and hosted on new platform.

What you will be doing:

• Developing and implementing UI components using React.js
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across various web browsers
• Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure smooth user experiences
• Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
• Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
• Write well-designed, efficient code
• Ensure our applications are secure and up to date
• Deploy and host the applications on AWS Cloud

What you will bring:

Must have

• 7+ years’ experience as Senior UI Engineer or similar role
• Proficiency in React.js and its core principles
• Strong Node, Springboot and Java applications build experience
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens
• Understanding of front-end build tools and pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• A strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality code
• Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities
• Experience with AWS Cloud and host React applications on AWS Cloud
• Experience in deploying UI code and services through AWS serverless services
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Problem-solving abilities
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and
• deployment
• Work primarily in React, Node Js, Springboot and JavaScript
• Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end
• engineers to create reliable experience APIs
• Collaborate across time zones via documents, and frequent video conferences
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Experience in unit/integration and Non-Functional testing

Nice to have

• Experience on working with component libraries such as Material UI, Chakra UI or Ant Design
• AWS/GCP cloud-based implementations
• Kubernetes Cluster Containerized based React applications
• Experience logging & Monitoring tools like Open Telemetry & Cloud Observability – Lightstep
• Experience on Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka
• Server less Applications like Lambda with React and Node JS
