Job Title: Manual Tester (Banking)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our banking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, security, and functionality of banking software applications, including online banking platforms, mobile apps, and internal banking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute manual test cases for new and existing banking applications, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify test scenarios.
• Defect Identification: Identify, report, and track defects in a timely manner, ensuring resolution before release.
• Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that changes or fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• End-to-End Testing: Perform end-to-end testing of banking transactions, ensuring accuracy, security, and performance.
• Usability Testing: Ensure the application meets the usability requirements, providing feedback on the user interface and user experience.
• Security Testing: Ensure that sensitive financial data is secure and adheres to banking standards for privacy and security.
• Performance Testing: Conduct manual performance tests where applicable to ensure applications can handle expected user traffic.
• Compliance Testing: Ensure that the system complies with regulatory standards and industry-specific guidelines (such as PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.).

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in manual testing, particularly in the banking or financial services domain.
• Familiarity with various banking systems and technologies (e.g., ATM software, mobile banking, internet banking).
• Strong understanding of banking workflows (e.g., payments, transfers, loan processing).
• Ability to write clear and concise test cases based on business requirements.
• Experience using defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Quality Center).
• Solid knowledge of banking regulations and security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of SQL for basic database testing.
• Understanding of automation testing (even if manual testing is the primary responsibility).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Banking and Finance certifications).
