Staff-Level DevOps Engineer

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

Salary: €90-100k p/a plus benefits

Troi Search have partnered with an Irish tech firm to hire an experienced Staff DevOps Engineer. This position will involve operating at a technical leadership level in influencing Infrastructure and Platform Engineering initiatives.

Day-To-Day Duties:

• Lead initiatives to establish Platform as a Product, promoting widespread adoption and industry best practices.
• Oversee the development of infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and large-scale system monitoring.
• Establish and enforce cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.
• Develop and execute long-term strategies to enhance infrastructure scalability and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance cloud infrastructure with a focus on resilience.
• Partner with senior leadership to align technology strategies with overall business goals.
• Manage incident response, lead post-mortem reviews, and drive continuous operational improvements.

Requirements:

• 8-10 Years of experience in relevant DevOps Engineering positions, ideally within AWS environments
• Demonstrated leadership in complex technical environments, with strong decision-making capabilities.
• Advanced expertise in Kubernetes, covering cluster orchestration, security, custom operators and networking.
• Strong command of Python for automating infrastructure and managing cloud environments.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform, Helm, Pulumi, and Crossplane.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including IAM, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Strong grasp of microservices design, Kubernetes Operators, and service mesh integrations.
• Strong command of Python for automating infrastructure and managing cloud environments.
