Full Stack Web Developer – UK (Remote) - Contract

Role Overview:

In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for the full development cycle—from technical design and development to testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to build novel products and features that enhance the user onboarding experience. Additionally, you'll contribute to developer workflows, mentor junior engineers, and help drive continuous improvements across the technical landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to execute the overall product and business strategy.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business needs.

Product & Feature Development:

• Develop innovative products and features focused on enhancing the user onboarding experience.
• Lead the full development cycle, including technical design, coding, testing, experimentation, analysis, and successful product launches.

Technical Leadership:

• Review code, design documents, and product specifications, providing constructive feedback.
• Establish and promote best practices to improve developer workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers, supporting their professional and technical growth.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies to continuously improve both technical and non-technical skills.
• Recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes for improved performance and scalability.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Technical Expertise:
• A minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong background in developing user-facing, reusable UI components.
• Proficiency in managing application state and optimizing performance in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Java, Rust, or C++.

API & Protocol Knowledge:

• Familiarity with GraphQL, REST, and HTTP fundamentals.
• Ability to design and maintain efficient and scalable APIs.

• Organizational & Communication Skills:
• Excellent organizational skills, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and deliver projects on schedule.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote teams and explain complex technical topics.
