Java Developer

Banking institution in Belgium is seeking a Freelance Java Developer to join its Channels and Customer Experience team. This is a high-visibility role where you'll contribute to the core banking applications that shape customer interactions across web and mobile platforms.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Belgium (Hybrid – 2 days on-site)

Duration: 12 Months

Day Rate: Negotiable

Languages: English AND French OR Dutch

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain secure, high-performance banking applications using Java & Spring
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and integrate with external data sources
• Work on both backend (Java, Spring) and frontend (mobile applications)
• Ensure code quality through best practices like TDD, Clean Code, and SOLID principles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and automation testing

Tech Stack:

• Java | Spring | Maven | REST APIs | Git | Jenkins | SonarQube | Docker | CI/CD
• Recent experience in the banking sector and Agile environments is highly preferred.
