DevSecOps Engineer

  • Pay Rate: $87.64-$102.36/hour Depending on Experience
  • Location: Remote
  • Contract Length: 1 year (with the possibility of extension)

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and product teams on security best practices.
  • Incorporate security assessments and vulnerability scans into the delivery cycle.
  • Oversee penetration/ethical hacking testing.
  • Implement and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and security protocols.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging security threats.
  • Provide support for incident response and disaster recovery planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related fields.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS cloud platforms (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Solid understanding of security best practices.
  • Scripting language experience for automation/process improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks/regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus).
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
