Software Engineer - Robotics

We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in CMake and Nix/NixOS to build and maintain our software build and package management systems. In this role, you will work on ensuring reproducible, efficient, and scalable build processes, collaborating with engineers across the organization to streamline software deployment and dependency management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CMake-based build configurations.
• Manage and improve Nix/NixOS package management for software dependencies.
• Collaborate with software and DevOps teams to enhance automation and CI/CD workflows.
• Maintain and troubleshoot build systems and dependency resolution.
• Support cross-compilation and platform-independent builds.
• Guide and mentor team members on best practices for CMake and Nix/NixOS.

Requirements

✔ Experience working with CMake in a professional environment.

✔ Hands-on experience with Nix/NixOS, including nixpkgs, nix-shell, flake.nix, and derivations.

✔ Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

✔ Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.

✔ Strong understanding of dependency management, cross-compilation, and build optimization.

✔ Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
