Network Engineer

NETWORK ENGINEER – SINGAPORE

**OFFERING UP TO $650,000 (SGD) TOTAL COMPENSATION (BASE + BONUS)**

A growing high-frequency trading firm is seeking an adept network engineer to join their global team. This individual will design ultra-low-latency network infrastructure, ensure the availability and reliability of network infrastructure, and help develop automation tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement ultra-low-latency network
• Optimise network infrastructure to improve reliability, availability, and speed
• Work on radio frequency link planning, site selection, and propagation analysis
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers and switches
• Collaborate with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal network performance
• Perform latency tuning, network performance analysis, and packet-level troubleshooting
• Optimize network paths, radio frequency configurations, and hardware selection
• Help develop network automation and monitoring tools
• Ensure compliance with telecom regulations, spectrum usage policies, and licensing requirements

Requirements:

• Experience working on high-frequency or low-latency networking
• Strong experience with Multicast
• Experience with a range of Network Hardware (Cisco, Arista, Juniper)
• Hands-on experience with latency tuning, latency measurement, and packet analysis
• Experience working on Linux platforms
• Experience with Python, Bash, and Ansible (for automation purposes)
• Experience utilizing network monitoring tools.
• Experience with Cloud Networking (AWS and GCP)
• Strong troubleshooting

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with dark fiber and optical networking
• Experience working with High-Frequency Trading or Telecom network infrastructure
• Experience with network time synchronization technologies
• Expertise with microwave networks
• Deep understanding of Radio Frequency engineering, link budget analysis, and antenna alignment
