Chief Technology Officer

Charles Levick have partnered with a global Energy Trading business, we have been commissioned to find a highly motivated Chief Technology Officer as they continue to expand their ever growing team.

Your role & responsibilities

• You'll take ownership of maintaining a robust, secure, and high-quality platform, upholding our stringent software quality standards.
• You will drive automation efforts to minimise repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency, allowing the team to focus on high-value work.
• You ensure teams are utilized efficiently, maintain an up-to-date and well-communicated product and technology roadmap, and cultivate a strong engineering culture.
• You lead the implementation of technology initiatives that align with strategic goals, delivering measurable progress and impactful results.
• Cultivate an environment of innovation, ownership, and growth, empowering developers to excel and achieve outstanding outcomes.
• Translate business priorities into technology initiatives, ensuring the business meets its growth targets. By maintaining a strategic perspective, you align the team with market needs and organisational goals, inspiring them to overcome challenges and achieve extraordinary results.

Must Have

• 10 years of experience in a relevant role, with a strong experience in the energy trading or commodity trading sector.
• Proven experience of leading a high performing team.
• Having proven experience in 24/7 low latency architectures.
• Excel in challenging environments like driving technological advancements, addressing underperformance, and managing resources effectively.
• Have a proven track record of executing technology strategies that align with business goals, enabling growth and scalability.
• Communicate effectively across all levels, fostering collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
