The Role

My client is looking for an experienced Android Engineer & Team Lead to take charge of their Messaging Team, driving both technical excellence and product strategy.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both coding and leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Shape product direction, working closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize impactful features.
• Develop and refine Android messaging features, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Set technical best practices, guiding the team in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Balance leadership with hands-on coding, contributing directly to high-impact projects.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Android development and 2+ years in a senior or leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Kotlin, Coroutines, Dependency Injection, and RESTful APIs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
