Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Application Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining business-critical applications, ensuring high performance, and contributing to the overall architecture and development best

practices.

Start: ASAP

End: 31.12.25 (extension possible)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data integration and business services using a microservices architecture.
• Ensure applications meet performance expectations and are thoroughly tested.
• Adhere to CI/CD best practices and work with automated testing and build pipelines.
• Write and maintain unit tests for automated testing.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
• Debug and fix issues in deployed applications.
• Provide expertise in the Java application development stack and related tools.
• Identify and address architectural challenges, factoring them into development decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong and proven experience as a Java Developer.
• Deep understanding of reactive architecture and microservices with Spring Boot.
• Experience in developing backend applications with heavy database interaction.
• Expertise in SQL programming, particularly with PostgreSQL or Oracle (PL/SQL).
• Solid understanding of relational databases.
• Proven experience with test-driven development (TDD), including writing unit and end-to-end integration tests.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Native Cloud Development and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration and deployment.
