Robertson Sumner is partnering with a highly regarded IT solutions provider to find a talented EAL Onsite Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with a flagship client, ensuring seamless network operations and delivering top-tier technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite technical support in Edinburgh, ensuring uninterrupted network operations.

Troubleshoot Cisco networking and security issues, updating ITSM platforms with accurate records.

Work closely with the Network Operations Centre (NOC) to enhance service delivery.

Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident, problem, and change management.

Participate in an on-call rota for escalated support beyond Level 1/2 NOC.

Keep up to date with emerging network and security technologies to drive efficiency and innovation.


What We’re Looking For:

Essential Experience & Skills:

Proven expertise in Cisco Routers and Switching (CCNP preferred).

Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE platform and Cisco Security (CCNA Security preferred).

Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls.

Strong communication skills – able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


💡 Desirable Experience:

Cisco Wireless and Collaboration (Voice) troubleshooting (CCNA Wireless/Voice preferred).

Knowledge of Palo Alto technologies, ITIL/Change Management processes.

Advanced security certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE.
