Database Administrator

Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) with SAP Experience

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in SAP systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing databases while ensuring seamless integration and performance of SAP applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage SAP HANA and other relevant databases, including backup, recovery, and security.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
• Support SAP applications by ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and archiving.
• Develop and implement database procedures, functions, and optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Perform regular database health checks and capacity planning.
• Ensure data integrity and implement data security best practices.
• Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to junior DBAs or other IT staff.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in database management systems (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis administration and database integration.
• Proficient in database optimization, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with data backup, recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Familiarity with database security principles and data privacy regulations.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DBA, with at least 2 years focused on SAP database environments.
• SAP HANA certification is a plus.
• Experience with cloud databases and SAP cloud solutions is an advantage.
