Bancontact Payconiq Company develops new payment experiences for consumers and merchants that want to bring forward the way of paying mobile. In order to support this ambition, the company is strongly investing into its merchant services capabilities; to bring the pace of these evolutions to the next level, we are looking for a Product Manager for our merchant offering. This function will report to our Chief Operating Officer.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Product Manager, you are in charge of our product offering towards merchants and partners, including both the products in our portfolio and the front-end applications that are linked to these products. As product manager:
· You ‘own’ your scope of services end-to-end: on the one hand you develop the strategy underlying to these services and propose it to the management team for validation, on the other hand you translate such strategy into deliverables, and you are responsible for their execution
· You craft value propositions towards our merchants based on an understanding of customers’ needs, figures and research, which you update regularly
· In order to keep improving our offering, you coordinate internal and external stakeholders to (i) define requirements (which you are responsible for); (ii) ensure a smooth delivery cycle for the new products/features; (iii) manage dependencies and delivery risks (iv) test and validate product delivery; (v) define and ensure an effective go-to-market approach; and (vi) keep improving on what has been delivered
· You work with designers to create the best UX for our merchants
· You are the expert on how our merchant products work, and as such you support our business development team in their commercial efforts, when needed. Similarly, you assist other colleagues (project managers, marketeers, Customer Care agents), when they need support
· You align with our support functions (Security, IT Architecture, Legal, Compliance Risk,..) to ensure the best set up for our products and innovations
· You collaborate with the other product managers to improve our E2E offering to the market (including to consumers); specifically, you work in duo with our Merchant Lifecycle Manager to offer the best customer experience to our customers.
· You set KPIs for the products in your scope, you follow up their performance and define growth/improvement plans
· You report back to the management team for all matters linked to the merchant offering (strategy or pipeline proposal, planning of new product launch, results…)
· You are the first ambassador of the products or services you deliver. You proactively inform other teams in the company, generate awareness and buy-in, and train the impacted teams when relevant
· You will be part of the Product team reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
WITH THESE SKILLS AND MINDSET, YOU WILL THRIVE IN OUR TEAM
· Master degree or equivalent proven experience
· 5+ years in a product manager (or similar role) in a payment and/or mobile context
· Experience with multi-partner/providers activities is a must
· Extensive experience with Agile Way of Working is a must
· Experience with knowledge management/visual management tools is a must
· Outstanding drive - you have it in you to take ownership of the product and do the necessary to bring it to the next level. You are always oriented ‘solutions’.
· Analytical skills – you can structure and condense a lot of details in a complete and clear document or explanation, which you communicate clearly to non-technical stakeholders
· Proactive management of issues – you look ahead and plan today for actions that need to take place tomorrow, with the needed discipline to reach the result. You find the tactical opportunities for acceleration and exploit them when possible
· Visual management – you know how to present information in a visual way, both in terms of customer journeys but also in terms of planning and actions
· Business feeling – you understand how the product portfolio is connected to our business goals, and you know how to share this with others. You strive to meet merchants’ needs
· Proactive communication – you communicate openly, activate your stakeholders and are not afraid to discuss all types of matters. You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written; you know how to be synthetic
· Relationship building – you create partnerships with your internal stakeholders as well as with third parties in order to reach joint objectives. When things need to be improved, you take the lead
· Quick learning curve – you will cover a lot of territory, from UX to the most technically complex aspects. You might not be an expert of everything, but want to learn and ability to absorb information fast
· Stress resilience – you keep your cool even in the most difficult moments and always remain professional
· Strong flexibility – every day can be different; you are open to adapt to changing needs
· Audience orientation – you adapt the content and tone of your communication depending on your audience: you know how to recommend and defend policy or strategic direction changes to management, explain to a customer the relevance of the solution you propose, train Customer Care agent to provide support on the new product you have launched
· Preferably bilingual NL/FR, one between NL/FR is a must, together with EN
