Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Location: Amsterdam (hybrid)

We seek an experienced IT Support Engineer to maintain the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, security, and efficiency. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, hardware/software upgrades, and supporting the organization's technology needs.

Responsibilities

User & Device Management

• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and access rights across multiple systems.
• Oversee software installations, updates, and licensing compliance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline user and device management.
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot technology devices, including laptops, desktops, phones, TVs, and printers.

Technical Support & IT Operations

• Provide timely technical support and resolve IT issues for internal staff.
• Maintain and manage the IT ticketing system to track and prioritize user requests.
• Establish clear processes for user support and ensure effective communication on request statuses.

Network & Security Management

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure office WiFi, LAN, and user VPN access.
• Implement and improve user data backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure regular testing of backup and recovery protocols.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1-5 years of experience in IT administration, network management, or systems administration.
• Proficiency in managing Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange or Google Workspace.
• Scripting experience or a strong desire to learn (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
