ML & Big Data Engineer – AI Climate Tech

An AI tech-for-good start-up is searching for a ML & Big Data Engineer to be employee number 5 and play a critical role in scaling their platform. This platform empowers global organisations to meet climate pledges by leveraging advanced data processing and machine learning to reduce waste, minimise carbon footprints, and enhance sustainability.

As ML & Big Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing brand new solutions including building a new generation of product tools such as search engineers, matching algorithms and building scalable LLM agents to gather a wide range of datasets, build scalable processing pipelines to compile data sets.

The company has recently received their pre-seed round with an exciting client portfolio and led by a seasoned founder with a track record of successfully building and exiting ventures.

Preferred location is Vienna, however, can be consider remote across Europe, with remuneration signed off between 90,000 to 110,000 + Equity.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in start-up’s, comfortable to get involved across the business and help where necessary.
• Min 3 years of experience with building and designing data solutions with distributed processing frameworks, preferably with Ray.io.
• 2+ years of experience prompting or fine-tuning LLMs.
• Nice to have, strong infrastructure experience with AWS, IaC and Kubernetes.
