Senior Data Analyst

MUST:

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with SQL and PowerBI (or tableau)
• Expert in SQL (Joins, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Selects, Etc)
• Strong with Query optimizations within SQL
• Bachelors degree
• Exposure to data warehousing
• Great communication

PLUS:

• Python
• R
• Life Insurance experience
• Experience working with an offshore team

DAY TO DAY:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our client’s team as a full time employee in Durham, NC. Our client is a life insurance and annuities firm with a wide variety of data sets that they utilize for analytics and reporting to equip the business to make educated decisions. Our client has a lot of projects coming in as well as a lot of data strategy work. We are seeking someone who can take initiative and are technical enough to understand what the tech and business teams are both saying. There are a lot of projects coming our way- why the role is open, so it’s a very exciting time to join the team. This role encompasses production support, new development, and report enhancements to name a few. This candidate will work with R , SQL, and will perform ton of Power BI dashboarding and visualizations on a day to day basis. This role will work with the business to identify areas of improvement and understand reporting requirements. Lastly, you will help create KPI’s to measure business effectiveness and work with a team to create process flows and enhancements through system updates.
