Overview

The Golang Backend Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend services using Golang, Java Spring Boot, and Temporal.io. The role requires expertise in building scalable microservices, containerization, and messaging systems while working with modern databases and BPM tools.

Position

Contract (Client: Brillio / Centene)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and Java Spring Boot.
  • Implement and optimize workflows using Temporal.io.
  • Work with Kafka for messaging and event-driven architecture.
  • Design and maintain microservices using 12-Factor App principles.
  • Utilize Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) for containerized deployments.
  • Work with NoSQL databases, ensuring DB-agnostic development.
  • Implement caching strategies using Redis.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs, with exposure to GraphQL and gRPC.
  • Leverage Neo4j for graph database applications.
  • Apply GitOps practices and feature flag usage in deployments.
  • Work within Agile development teams to deliver robust software solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Golang and Java Spring Boot.
  • Expertise in Temporal.io for workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with Kafka for messaging and event-driven processing.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases and database-agnostic development.
  • Understanding of Graph Databases (Neo4j preferred).
  • Familiarity with BPM/BRMS tools (e.g., Sparkling Logic, Flowable, Camunda).
  • Experience with caching tools (Redis preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and gRPC.
  • Agile methodology practitioner with experience in GitOps.

Additional Information

  • Remote position with collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Must have strong backend development experience with a focus on Golang and Temporal.io.

Candidate Details

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Experience with modern backend architecture and microservices development required
