DevOps Engineer

Payten is looking for a DevOps Engineer who sees the “big picture” in an environment getting ready for DevOps and Scrum Team Methodologies.

Main accountabilities:

• At least 3 years of DevOps /configuration management experience
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
• Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• Good understanding of branching strategy providing feedback to the management in terms of improvement.
• Solid understanding on the following concepts:

· Continuous Integration/ Continuous delivery

· Infrastructure Automation

· Container Orchestration

Education: Bachelor or Master Degree required in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or related field

Language: Advanced knowledge of English language, allowing fluent communication and writing documentation.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience on an Unix based Enterprise Environment.

· Deep understanding of Jenkins, Git, Scripting, Groovy Scripts, Web Services and Kubernetes.

· Experience with automated testing tools (ie. Selenium, JUnit/JMeter).

· Exp with CI/CD tool chain (Jenkins, Maven, Nexus) required.

· Knowledge about basic networking, TCP/UDP connections, LANs, VLANs

· Have an experience about Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift

· Experience with middleware tools like Redis and Kafka

· Experience with production deployment, monitoring and operational support; expert with DevOps tools and processes. (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Graylog etc.)

· Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such Bash and/or Python

Experience with GitOps solutions like Argo CD and helm charts

Experience with Software-defined Storage solutions
