Frontend Developer

Location: Hybrid - London

Package: Negotiable + Benefits

We are seeking a motivated Front-End Developer to work on our Platform. It is a custom-built online quote, bind and formal documentation issuance platform, that also offers a range of analytics to assist with underwriting, portfolio analysis and product performance. The role requires you to work on maintaining and improving our existing platform, however there may also be opportunity for you to work on our modernisation initiatives, which are due to start during 2025.

The Day To Day

  • Develop responsive, interactive, and performant web applications.
  • Design & implement user interfaces that are visually appealing and intuitive.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability and user experience.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with back-end systems and APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team to set best practices and coding standards.

About You

  • Experience as a Front-End Developer
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with frontend libraries and frameworks such as React
  • Experience with jQuery, WebForms and Vue.js (v.2) for legacy platform
  • Excellent debugging skills.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks is advantageous.
