About the client:
Our customer is the Canadian online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. The Head of Analytics will lead the transformation of our analytics organization, ensuring alignment with business needs while optimizing efficiency. This role requires a strong change leader who can unify fragmented analytics teams, establish standardized ways of working, and drive adoption of a new collaboration model across the business. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a transformation roadmap to unify and restructure analytics teams, ensuring they deliver maximum business value with optimized resources.
- Implement standardized methodologies and ways of working across analytics functions to enhance consistency, efficiency, and impact.
- Lead change management efforts by proactively engaging with key stakeholders to drive adoption of new collaboration models between analytics, business, and other functions.
- Develop a clear communication strategy to bring the organization along on the analytics transformation journey, ensuring buy-in from executives, functional leaders, and team.
- Assess the current analytics team structure and design an optimized team setup that maintains business support while reducing redundancies.
- Identify automation opportunities and process improvements to enable teams to deliver insights faster and more efficiently.
- Implement a scalable and sustainable analytics operating model that maximizes business impact with an optimized team size.
- Drive the adoption of common tools, frameworks, and governance policies to ensure consistency in data use and analytics execution across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements while fostering a data-driven culture.
- Partner with business leaders across functions (e.g., marketing, sales, product, finance) to align analytics priorities with business needs.
- Act as a bridge between analytics teams and functional stakeholders, ensuring that analytics capabilities directly support and drive business strategies.
- Provide thought leadership and advocacy for data-driven decision-making, educating stakeholders on how to best leverage analytics.
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role driving change in large or complex organizations.
- Proven experience leading analytics transformations, including restructuring teams, optimizing headcount, and improving ways of working.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business functions.
- Expertise in analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau,Power BI) and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
- Change Management Expertise – Proven ability to lead organizational transformation and drive adoption of new processes and structures.
- Strategic Thinking – Ability to develop and execute a long-term vision for analytics while delivering immediate business impact.
- Leadership and Stakeholder Management – Strong ability to communicate, influence, and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Operational and Process Optimization – Experience improving analytics efficiency, standardizing methodologies, and optimizing team structures.
- Business Acumen – Deep understanding of business functions and how analytics can drive commercial success.
