Position Purpose:
The UX/UI Product Owner will serve as the key advocate for user experience and design excellence within the development of the product. This role is responsible for ensuring an intuitive, modern, and engaging user experience while driving conversion rates and maximizing customer satisfaction. The UX/UI Product Owner will define, plan, track and manage development of the specific products. Validate and optimize customer journeys, ensuring seamless interactions that meet both business and end-user needs.
This role requires a blend of product ownership expertise and UX/UI design acumen, allowing collaboration between design, development, and business teams to deliver visually appealing and functionally superior customer experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Vision and Strategy:
- Define and champion the UX/UI vision and strategy, aligning with business objectives.
- Communicate the product vision and strategy effectively to teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring a balance between innovation, business goals, and user satisfaction.
- Advocate for data-driven design decisions, leveraging analytics, A/B testing, and user research to optimize the customer journey.
- Stay up-to-date with iGaming industry trends, UI innovations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Product Requirements & Backlog Management:
- Establish clear UX/UI requirements and provide well-documented design specifications for development teams.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the development team understands the work to the level needed; maintaining an optimal balance between new feature development, design improvements, and usability enhancements.
- Clearly articulate Jira Epics and/or User Story’s requirements and the expected outcomes.
- Ensure accessibility and responsiveness across multiple devices and screen resolutions.
- Customer Journey & Conversion Optimization:
- Analyze user behavior and design frictionless experiences that drive engagement and retention.
- Define key conversion points within the product and work to optimize them through iterative UX improvements.
- Collaborate with marketing and data teams to ensure UX/UI supports acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Lead customer research and usability testing, gathering direct feedback from users to improve platform design.
- Development Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers and stakeholders to translate business goals into engaging product experiences.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering teams, ensuring design feasibility and technical execution.
- Actively participate in product reviews, sprints, and retrospectives, focusing on UX/UI as a key priority.
- Validate design solutions through wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing before implementation.
- Quality Assurance:
- Accept or reject work results, ensuring deliverables meet the defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality control and feature acceptance.
- Conduct design reviews and usability assessments to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Ensure a balance between user needs and business goals.
- Act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring UX/UI considerations are embedded in every stage of the product lifecycle.
- Present UX/UI recommendations and findings to executive teams, stakeholders, and development teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Domain Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the target market and user base.
- Proven experience in product management methodologies.
- UX/UI Expertise:
- Strong background in UX/UI design principles, usability testing, and user research methodologies.
- Deep understanding of iGaming user behavior, customer expectations, and industry best practices.
- Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using industry-standard tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
- Knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, and conversion rate optimization techniques.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into seamless, intuitive experiences.
- Product Ownership & Collaboration:
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working closely with development teams.
- Strong backlog management and ability to define Jira Epics and/or User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Ability to prioritize features and enhancements based on user impact, business needs, and technical feasibility.
- Strong data-driven decision-making approach, leveraging heatmaps, session recordings, A/B testing, and analytics.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, ensuring alignment between business, marketing, and development teams.
- Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively communicate with development teams.
- Experience using Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or similar tools for user behavior analysis.
- Knowledge of design system management and ensuring consistency across products.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
- Experience in the iGaming industry or similar digital entertainment platforms.
- Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and performance-driven UX/UI design.
- Experience with mobile-first and responsive design principles.
- Understanding of A/B testing and multivariate testing for design optimizations.
- Familiarity with gamification principles and interactive UI elements.
Performance Criteria:
The UX/UI Product Owner’s performance will be measured based on the successful delivery of product features, adherence to the product vision, effective backlog management, and the overall success of the product as measured by user adoption and business value creation.
