PAM Security Engineer

📍 Location: Den Helder (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week)

As a PAM Security Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and managing Privileged Access Management (PAM) security services for a highly innovative and fast-moving organization. You will be part of a dedicated security team, working to implement, test, and maintain PAM solutions while ensuring top-tier security for our client’s infrastructure.

Your Role

As a PAM Security Engineer, you will start as part of the project and testing team, gaining in-depth knowledge of the environment before transitioning into the PAM management team. Your focus will be on securing privileged access, maintaining operational efficiency, and continuously improving security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ PAM Implementation & Management:

• Execute, document, and improve PAM-related test scenarios.
• Perform security management activities related to PAM.
• Install, patch, update, and upgrade PAM systems.
• Manage and maintain orchestration and automation processes.
• Implement security changes and enhancements.

✅ Incident Response & Problem Solving:

• Investigate and resolve security incidents (including outside regular hours).
• Identify and escalate complex security challenges.
• Manage performance and capacity of PAM systems.
• Keep operational documentation up to date.

Your Skills & Mindset:

• Strong risk and security-based thinking with a proactive and analytical approach.
• Excellent team player with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to navigate highly innovative, fast-paced, and complex environments.
• Strong Dutch language skills (written & spoken).
• Experience working in managed security services.

Your Experience & Certifications:

✔ Education & Background:

• MBO diploma in IT (or equivalent experience at MBO+ level).
• Minimum 5 years of managed security services experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in security roles.

✔ Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Experience with incident resolution (2nd or 3rd line support).
• Knowledge of automated testing (preferred).
• Experience in creating and maintaining installation manuals & run books (preferred).
• Certifications in CyberArk (preferred).
• Additional certifications such as ITIL, CEH, CISSP are a plus.

✔ Security & Compliance:

• Ability to pass a government security screening (Type B).
• Dutch passport required (for security clearance).
