Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CTO to lead and transform our organization from a technology perspective. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing the technology vision, leading the engineering team, and delivering scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that drive the success of our growing portfolio of direct-to-consumer brands. What You Will Do:

• Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with business goals, ensuring our technology supports ongoing growth.
• Lead, mentor, and grow our engineering team while managing relationships with external vendors and partners.
• Oversee the development and deployment of scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that meet the needs of our brands.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, processes, and system architecture standards across the organization.
• Take responsibility for infrastructure decisions, ensuring technical excellence, versatility, safety and scalability in the architecting and engineering of solutions, as well as managing all technical delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure engineering efforts align with business priorities and deliver results.
• Take responsibility for maintaining high-quality work across the engineering team, holding yourself and the team accountable to the highest standards.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, and development efforts to grow a high-performing engineering team aligned with our values and culture.
• Act as a key point of contact for all software engineers, facilitating communication and continuously improving development practices and tools.
• Stay informed on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to improve engineering capabilities.

What We Expect:

• Proven experience as a senior engineering leader, with a track record of scaling and managing engineering teams in fast-growing environments.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, scalable systems, and software development practices (proficiency in PHP and modern frameworks is a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaborative decision-making.
• Knowledge of security, performance, and scalability best practices in e-commerce technology stacks.
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills with experience using metrics to guide technical strategy and team performance.
