Data Analytics Manager

As a member of Munich Re, the MedNet Group is a leading Third-Party Administrator across the MEA region. We are currently seeking to hire a Data Analytics Manager who is responsible for leading the data analytics initiatives within MedNet Operations.

This role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights to support tactical and strategic decision-making, and ultimately enhance operational efficiency as well as regulatory adherence, for internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing data-driven strategies and fostering a data-centric culture across the company, in the UAE and Oman markets.

Your role:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
• Partner with business leaders to collect requirements and identify Key Performance Indicators to measure business performance and success.
• Oversee data collection, storage, and management practices, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Design and implement business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and reporting tools, to provide insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure the necessary infrastructure and tools are in place for effective data analysis.
• Conduct complex data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can drive business decisions.
• Track Operations budget consumption against plan and trigger corrective actions as required in case of deviations
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders (insurers and reinsurers) in a clear and actionable manner.
• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and business intelligence professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Work closely with various departments, including sales and finance, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of data insights.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in business intelligence in the health insurance industry.
• Actuarial/Underwriting background is highly regarded, although not mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in analytics tools and softwares (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to diverse audiences.
• Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
